Skating in Marhan's Grotto
Not really sure where to post this but this doesn't seem like the worst place, feel free to move it if there is a better place.
The other night I was in Marhan's Grotto and I saw a monk "skating." I whispered her asking how she did that but she would not tell me. Later on she anounced that she would teach people to skate for 100 gp. Being cheap as I am I decided to search this forum and a few others to try to find the answer but I could not. (I also happened to be flat broke because I just bought a guild hall.) So I watched what she was doing and this is what I saw: 1) She would run around until the frozen ground no longer had an affect. 2) She would go into some kind of a crouch like when you're under attack. 3) She would start to slide across the ice. Now I thought that she was doing some kind of emote to get into the crouch but I turned my emotes and and found that she either wasn't doing one or was doing one of them like /sit that doesn't show up. I tried using /sit but all it did for me was make me sit and freeze my butt to the ice. If anyone knows how to do this or is willing to waste some time trying to figure it out please let me know, I've already wasted far too much of my own time on it. |

I'm guessing it was probably Enchantress Pyrate, or was her name Pyrate Enchantress, anyway, I know why she won't tell anyone, nor would I tell anyone. If everyone knew, it'd either be nerfed, not be special, or just a million people crowding Marhan's Grotto and causing even more lag than just a bunch of people doing chest runs. -_-'

Just do any emote and immediately press Q & W keys. It's not any BIG secret.

And it stops when the effect of the ice wears off so only 5 seconds.
pretty cool to time it with male ranger dance. Super break dance. |
